So Jack's potty training is going great (I know you was just wondering about that), but as it is with children sometimes when they get better in one area they have a fall back in another.
With Jack the issue is going to sleep at night. We have always been blessed with Jack sleeping well all his life, only on rare occasions has he giving us issues with his sleep.
But last night after sleeping for about 3 hours he got up and would not go back to sleep without one of us in his room (or he wanted us to take him to our bed room which we avoid)
So from 2:00 am until it was time for us to get ready for work which is 5:00 am Jack cried and cried. No sleep for Jack or us.
At five we brought him into the living room and he laid down on Bailey's dog bed as we took showers and got ready for work. Needless to say he went straight to sleep, he sleep with all the noise of us and even slept in the car as I drove him to Pa and Granny's house (which he has never done). Once he got there is continued to sleep until 9:00. Gerri and I struggled today just trying to stay awake.
So tonight we didn't know how it would go. He had a good day with normal naps and play time. We put him in bed at 8:45pm and within seconds of me leaving the room he started crying. Right now it's 10:10pm and he is still calling for us and/or crying for us.
Gerri is in bed (in case she needs to take over later in the night) and I am monitoring him and every 20 mins or so going in to his room and laying him down and walking out.
How long will it take tonight?
I have set a limit at 11:00 pm...if he is still crying I will go sit in his room until he falls asleep, I know the arm chair quarterbacks are saying don't do it...just let him cry it out. Trust me I can let him cry but 2+ hours of crying is about my limit as you need to balance discipline with showing love.
It's 10:15 now and for the past 5 minutes I don't hear anything, please God let him be asleep and let him sleep for the rest of the night.
For the guys looking for me online for MW2 the last two nights, sorry...Hopefully he will be better later this week and things will get back to as normal.
10:25pm still no noise from his room.
