I just got an email that Webshots is changing their homepage. As a Premium user they are showing the Alpha of the site, although it isn’t live yet.
This is from the email:
* We know how much you love Pro Shots, so we put the four daily photos at the top of the Pro Shots page—now you can easily find and download them.
* As a Premium Member, you can already upload 5,000 personal photos, and soon you’ll be able to upload an extra 500 photos every month—plus, we’ve improved the upload and display quality on all photos.
* On your Member Homepage, we’re adding the features you’ve requested like a new stats page and message page, which will be available shortly after we launch the new site. Check out your new homepage now!
* We’re now displaying data about your camera make and model, and soon we’ll be showing more information. Read about this feature in our blog to find out more.We also wanted to make your experience on the site better than ever, so we’ve improved how we feature content and how you view it.
* We’ve created 10 main channels for all photos to be categorized into, so you’ll be able to find exactly what you’re looking for in:
Entertainment
Family
Good Times
Home & Garden
News
Outdoors
Pets
Rides
Sports
Travel
* On each channel page, we’re featuring specific editorial content chosen by real people, so you’re sure to see amazing, high-quality photos.
* We’re also bringing the best of Webshots to you with highlighted areas of photos for Most Popular, Most Downloaded and Most Recent. The new site is still in its early stages, so please keep in mind that not all of the functionality will be complete or work flawlessly. During this time, you’ll be able to view both the new site and the current site.
We’ll send you an email letting you know when the new site will go live, which should be sometime in late August.
