My music, pictures, and video files have really started to get big like around 100 GB. I keep the files on a seperate hard drive inside my computer for performance but for backing up trying to do it to DVDs would take forever.

So this is my solution.

1. I use carbonite, which sends the files into the cloud of the internet. It’s 49.99 a year but is a wonderful choice for offsite backup.
2. I also put selected files on Amazon S3 using Jungle Disk, once again a cloud solution that even allows me to download a selected file even when I am not at home.
3. I backup to a portable hard drive using Sync Toy. A simple easy tool from Microsoft.
