The new Canon Rebel 500D or T1i shoots 1080p video, but only at 20 fps. It also shoots 720p at 30 fps and also SD. Here is a 32 second video I shot showing the 20 fps at 1080p. To see it at full size when you view the video click at the top "Full HD". If you have a 24in monitor (or bigger) put firefox in full screen before you start the video and you will be able to see it.
